20 Min £2 Cushion

July 28, 2010

I’m adding to my collection of comfy cushions. This one was super cheap and super easy to make.

The fabric is a curtain sample which a fabric shop in town sells off for a £1 each (though you have to dig through a big basket to find one you might want).

The cushion filler was a fairly ugly cushion from Poundland, so also £1.

Then easy to make, no zip so it’s pretty simple.

First dismantled the mini curtain, cut out a rectangle, double the size of the cushion plus a bit for the seams.

Fold the rectangle in half, with the right sides facing and sew round, leaving a gap to turn it round the right way and then stuff in the cushion.

Sew up the gap and done.

Unfortunately dismantling the curtain means I now have lots of bits of loose thread all over the carpet and now need to hoover.
