Exciting developments in aubergine growing.
Baby aubergines!
As noted before I’m kind of excited about the aubergines as it’s the first time I’ve grown them and they seem to be coming along quite nicely…and are a very pretty purple colour.
Also a lovely purple colour are the flowers on the Black Dragon chili, which means I’m keen to find out what the chilis themselves will look like – even though the garden is so full of chilis at the moment (what I thought were pepper plants, turn outed to not be) that even if we pickle them and dry them, we will still be eating them well into next year.
I’m currently having no luck with tomatoes, which just won’t go red! And the pattypan squash got a bit stalled and squidgy, I think it was probably too much rain and not enough sun.
Need more sun, it’s not been a great August.
